Adventures

  • 4 rowers: 1 qualified guide, plus support when necessary.

  • Route plan briefing prior to going afloat

  • On board radio for close comms.

  • Adventuring is steady, not race pace.

  • Beach stops on longer routes.

Min. 2 rowers required for the session to run, (or an alternative 1:1 session can be offered.)

Our programme is progressive to maintain confidence and enjoyment for all.

#1 60 mins BEGINNER Adventure

BiWeekly, Monday from Lymington Amateur Rowing Club Pontoon at High Water

This group adventure will take place in the Undershore Rd lagoon. A safe place to learn the skills required to group adventure further afield.

#2 90 mins BEGINNER Adventure

Once a month on a Sunday eve, from Bath Rd.

This tour will follow the sea wall into Oxey Lakes and Salterns (return) or the river channel into Pylewell Lakes (return) follows sheltered and shallow waters.

#3 90 mins Intermediate Adventure

Once a month on a Sunday eve, from Bath Rd.

This tour offers a mixed (interval) paced row out of the Lymington River and then either East towards Tanners Gap or West towards Oxey Lakes, Salterns and in the direction of Hurst Castle.

#4 120 mins Intermediate Adventure

Bi-weekly on a Thursday eve, from Bath Rd.

This tour offers a mixed (interval) paced row out of the Lymington River and then either East towards Tanners Gap/ Pylwell or West towards Oxey Lakes, Salterns and on towards Hurst Castle. It may return via open Solent depending on tide and weather conditions.

#5 180 mins Advanced Adventure to Hurst

Once a month on a Sunday eve, from Bath Rd.

Lymington to Hurst Castle, return with a stop at Hurst Spit.

We will follow the sea wall in one direction and the open Solent in the other.


Available ‘early’ Thursday mornings, on a weekly basis, or bespoke on demand.

A fitness workout in the premium Lite Duo; double seated scull boat. The coaching focus will be on fitness as a priority.

Available to all holders of 'Rowing Adventures Passport to Explore' having completed the Learn to Row Course.

Explorers will be involved in boat rigging/ derigging and understanding weather, tide, navigation and general safety.
